Writing Workshop (Grades 4-7)

Service Description

Some children love to write. Others would prefer to do anything but. Still others struggle with writing and find it a challenge. This writing workshop was designed for all children in grades 4-7 regardless of their ability level or feelings about writing. The goal of Writing Workshop is to help guide children through the writing process and help them become more independent writers. This class will consist of teacher-directed mini lessons, independent writing time, formal and informal student-teacher conferences, group collaboration, time to share writing, and publication celebrations. In this workshop, children will be encouraged to write about topics of their choice in order to ensure interest. Individualized feedback and conferences will allow for personal feedback based on the child’s needs. Fee: $15.00 for General Members or $18.00 for Event/Project Members *A 3% service fee will be added to all payments processed through the website. Cash and personal checks are also accepted.
